		<description>Erik, nice tip, I&#039;ll keep that one in mind. Some clients might be better off with that one, and I didn&#039;t even know about it.  
Also, I agree about the Fetchmail thing.  I like Fetchmail, unfortunately some clients can&#039;t use it in there MS only environment.  But hearing &quot;fetchmail&quot; gives me an idea for mail archiving... but that&#039;s a post for another topic!</description>

		<description>Another option would be to use Popcon (christensen-software), which not only allows to shorten the download interval, but also to use pop over ssl connections (useful when using gmail for your domain - google apps for instance)</description>
